What We Did

5501 N. Hacienda del Sol Road, Tucson, AZ  85718   http://www.haciendadelsol.com

We headquartered our informal reunion of the Arizona Alpha Pi Beta Phi Pledge Classes of 1962, 1963 and 1964 and other interested Pi Phis at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson, AZ.

We scheduled some activities and suggested some others.  Of course, everyone was free to visit with each other as she desired.  The Hacienda del Sol was a delightful place to hang out and visit.  The Casita Grande at Hacienda #38, which we rented for the event, was open each afternoon for Pi Phis attending the Reunion for gathering and for refreshments.

*Optional daytime activities were whatever one wished.  Here are some things that the Sisters did:

Sabino Canyon  - Remember all those rickety bridges?  All that has changed, and it has been developed as part of Coronado National Forest. There are still breathtaking views, many hiking trails and a tram that goes to the top.  http://www.sabinocanyon.com/trail_sc_hf.php and http://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/coronado/recarea/?recid=80532

DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun - The DeGrazia Gallery and Gift Shop is very close to the Hacienda and is open daily, 10-4, free of charge.  There are exhibits and beautiful grounds.  http://degrazia.org

La Encantada - this is a shopping center close to Hacienda with restaurants (great gelato) and upscale stores.  Cost?  Well this is up to you.

Shopping near campus  -  University Avenue is a recently developed shopping areas near campus just outside the main gate.  4th Street shopping area begins about 3 blocks east and about 3 or 4 blocks south of the main gate and has many ethnic restaurants, head shops, tattoos, clothing and artsy type shops.

Hacienda del Sol - hang out at the Hacienda.  There are numerous amenities at Hacienda including a pool, spa and horsebackriding and walking trails, as well as great restaurants.
