COME TO THE ARIZONA ALPHA CENTENNIAL

U of A, Tucson since 1917

Oct 26 – Oct 29, 2017

Let’s all plan to attend this Homecoming.  The Tucson Alumnae Club has planned a fun weekend for us. The Pi Phi House will be open all day Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28, for tours and there will be receptions, dinners and football options for the weekend. Check them out below.

To get more information and to register for the official celebration events you must go to the Alumnae Club website at http://pibetaphiuaalumnae.org and click Centennial/Homecoming Weekend under Upcoming Events.

We have arranged a special dinner at LA COCINA, a patio restaurant in the Presidio District of Tucson on Thursday night, October 26 for our own Pledge Classes 1963-1966 and other interested Pi Phi sisters.  If you are considering coming to the Homecoming, be sure to arrive by Thursday for this time to spend with our Pi Phi sisters before the main festivities begin.

Click "100th Anniversary Dinner" on the top left for the details.  It will be FUN.

CENTENNIAL SCHEDULE

Thursday – a cocktail reception at the Tucson University Park Hotel (formerly the Marriott), from 4-6 pm followed by a casual dinner for our pledge classes. We will provide information for our specific pledge classes in the near future.

Friday – Free day to see the sites and old haunts. The Pi Phi house will be open all day for tours. Cocktail reception begins at 5:00pm at the Tucson University Park Hotel before our 100th year dinner celebration. The dinner is planned to be finished by the time the Bon Fire Rally starts at Old Main. You won’t want to miss the UA band and cheerleaders! (For spouses who don’t want to go to our dinner, there are numerous restaurants and sports bars in the Main Gate district, so you can all connect after dinner.)

Saturday- Game time is subject to TV, which will not be announced until ten days prior.  We are playing Washington State University, who finished #2 in the Pac 12 this year. It should be a great game. The Alumnae Club is working on a tailgate pre-game in the U of A Greek Heritage Park and a block of football tickets. If interested, you may email AZAlpha100@gmail.com. If you choose not to go to the game, the Alumnae Club is also working on a game watching party at the house.

Sunday– Enjoy breakfast with friends in the Tucson University Park Hotel lobby or choose a restaurant in the area for brunch. Make your large group reservations early.

CENTENNIAL ACCOMMODATIONS

A block of rooms is being held at the Tucson University Park Hotel (formerly the Marriott) until 30 days before the event.  You may make a reservation by phone by calling 520-629-2819, Natalia Farr, Coordinator.  Ask for the Pi Beta Phi 100th rooms.
